Banking sector led the index up today as it rose by 0.18%, the services index rose by 0.04%, while investment lost 0.20%, Insurance decreased by 0.12% and industry plunged by 0.04%.

Total of 206.9 thousand shares were traded through 92 transactions, 17 rose, 5 declined, while the remaining 8 ones kept flat.

The top three gainers were Palestine Islamic Bank which rose by 2.46%, Union Construction and Investment which rose by 2.38% and Palestine Real Estate Investment Co which rose by 1.64%.

The top three losers were Palestine Plastic Industries Co Ltd which declined by 4%, Al Wataniah Towers Co which plunged by 2.7% and Palestine Development and Investment which decreased by 0.61%.

Banking sector increased by 0.18% leading Al-Quds index to rise by 0.02%, or 0.10 point, and close at 522.54 points. The main index rose by 0.02% gaining 0.04 point and closed at 276.62 points.

It should be noted that Al-Quds index soared yesterday by 0.17%, or 0.91 points, and closed at 522.4 points. The main index also increased yesterday by 0.16% (0.43 point) and closed at 276.58 points.
